Directions and ingredients

1. Lighten (bleach hair) following the directions on the lightening kit if needed. Babe, give things 48-72 hours to settle down before you apply me.
2. BABE, YOU NEED TO PERFORM A STRAND TEST to check how we look together before full head application. Yup, even if you've used me before. Things can change. If the strand test is not what you hoped for, please send us a picture of your hair and what you are trying to achieve and we will try to help you out. DO THIS BEFORE FULL HEAD APPLICATION.
3. Shampoo and dry your hair.
4. Protect your hands with latex gloves and your hairline with petroleum jelly to prevent colour staining. Protect clothing.
5. Empty into a bowl and apply me to your hair in downward strokes. You may want to use a tint brush. Massage me into your hair to ensure even coverage. Don't massage me into your scalp.
6. After 10 minutes, check the colour of a strand by removing excess cream. Some hair may need longer. Leaving me on longer will not damage your hair but it may increase the staying power of the colour.
7. Rinse with cool water thoroughly until the water runs clear. It's best to rinse hair in a basin or a way that minimises contact with your face and body (so don't rinse me off in the shower). Babe, take as much care rinsing as you did during application. Please protect your hands. Dry and style as usual.
8. The colour will fade over 5 to 30 washes depending on your hair. All hair is different and the colour and fading will depend on your hair type, the condition of your hair, previous colouring and treatments. Remember, any variation in your hair colour before application may show through to the end result, especially with pastel shades.
9. Hey babe, if you've had enough of me you can fade me faster by using a paste of baking soda and cheap shampoo. Massage in and leave for 10-15 minutes before rinsing, shampooing and conditioning well. A couple of applications may be necessary. Please perform a strand test of this paste for suitability on your hair before full head application. Another option is to use a colour remover.
10. Babe, be aware that super hot showers and hot hair styling tools will fade me. You can keep your hair in great condition with Brite Masques and you can top up the colour with our colour-depositing shampoo, conditioners and masques.
